8/11/08- I've decided to extend my time off! I'll see you all in September.
I saw this picture of Chaka and was flat out blown away. Y' all don't hear me. The voice, the confidence, the sexy. What an incredibly dynamic woman. I remember seeing Chaka when she was younger and thinking total FIYAH baby. This photo absolutely captures her spirit. My old hair stylist (yes he's hetero) back in NYC would lose his damn mind reminiscing on her from back in the day. Here she is with Rufus in 1974, Central Park NYC.
